On Feb 28th 2026, RCA BikesOnline lined up for the iconic 267 km Melbourne to Warrnambool. With a tail-crosswind likely to make the race fast and aggressive, the goal was clear: animate the race early. Our squad—Dylan Proctor-Parker, Craig Wiggins, Alex Baker, and Josh Beikoff - were ready to get stuck in.

In the opening 10 km, all of the boys followed attacks, with Josh eventually making the break of seven riders. All riders worked smoothly, gaining a maximum 13-minute gap. As the crosswinds started, the peloton was split up, reducing the time gap significantly but not enough to catch the lead rides with Josh still racing strongly.

Between the 170 and 220km mark, the break whittled down to three; Oli Stenning (Falcons Pedal Mafia Racing), Kevin Biffeger (Individual rider coached by the RCA) and Josh Beikoff giving it their all to make it to the line and contest the win. With around 40 km to go, the trio still held 4 minutes. As each kilometer ticked by, the closest the chase group would get would be 3minutes - plenty of time up their sleeves to ensure they were fighting for the podium.

Talking to Josh after the race, he felt calm and controlled thanks to the directives and words from Ryan Cavanagh (RCA coach and Directeur Sportif for this round).

Coming into the finish straight it was still the 3 riders after a couple of attempts from Oli to get away solo in the closing 10kms. Kevin was leading, Josh on his wheel and Oli trailing.

Oli opened the sprint early with around 350m to go. Josh reacted quickly and they were side by side, a classic one-on-one drag race. Josh looked like he was fading and dropped behind, but he never gave up, surging past in the final meters to take the WIN!

Josh also won the sprint classification, and RCA BikesOnline took the team classification—an incredible day for the team!
